Apple’s highly rumoured iPad Pro could indeed launch this year in the late 3rd quarter of 2014 according to a new report from MacRumors. The rumoured 12.9″ tablet makes sense after the release of large scale tablets seen at CES 2014 by major companies such as the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2.”
A release date in September or October makes sense, as it falls in line with the usual yearly refresh of the iPad lineup. The tablet is supposedly to feature a 2732 x 2048 retina display. with a resolution of 265 ppi. Based on my guess, the target market of this tablet should be more towards business and enterprise uses, not necessarily for home use. As we see a new market for large scale tablets, there is no doubt that Apple will soon jump in and try to take advantage of this growing market.
If it does release in September, also expect a refresh of the iPad Air and iPad Mini models. With high iPad sales within the past year, a new iPad Pro seems to make sense in the market.
