After much speculation and a leaked date, Apple confirmed this morning that they will be holding a press event on October 22nd. We expect that this event will unveil the new iPads as well as final information on OS X Mavericks.
This year, the event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts starting at 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time. This venue signifies that Apple is planning a bigger launch, as Apple is known to showcase larger product launches at this specific venue.
What can we expect this year? Definitely we can see new information on the rumoured iPad 5th generation and iPad Mini 2nd Generation. We are expecting a refreshed design on the new 5th generation iPad, as well as improvements to the next generation iPad Mini. As well, we should see final information and a release date on OS X Mavericks.
We may also see new infromation on the brand new Mac Pro. Unveiled earlier this year, Apple hasn’t released many details yet, but Apple may be ready to showcase this device after much speculation. Finally, we may also see new information on the next version of the Macbook Pro, as it has not received an update yet this year.
We do not expect anything on the rumoured iWatch or any updates to the iPod lineup.
