After an outage from Canadian mobile phone provider Rogers, service has now been fully restored. Rogers has confirmed this information with Jordan’s Tech Stop.

Patricia Trott, a spokesperson for Rogers, issued this statement earlier tonight to Jordan’s Tech Stop:

Rogers wireless voice and SMS services are fully restored.  We continue to investigate the root cause. We apologize to our customers and thank them for their patience.

The cause of the outage is currently unknown, but more details should emerge in the coming days. Service went down today at around 3:30 Pacific Standard Time. It affected voice and SMS for customers across the nation. As well, Fido customers were affected.
