Do you want an 128GB iPad? Have you been dreaming about it? Well, looks like it’s about to come true.
Sources tell 9to5Mac that an additional iPad model is ready to be released this year. Apparently at the moment, it’s not a new design, but an additional to the 4th generation iPads. It will have the same colour and internet options (WiFi and cellular) as the 4th generation iPad according to the unknown sources. But we strongly believe that this will be the 128GB iPad model.
9to5Mac was provided with an SKU listing that lists the iPad models as “Ultimate” that will join the current lineup. Although no pricing was listed for this, we should have a general idea what the 128GB model of the 4th generation iPad should cost. If it is indeed a 4th generation iPad, the price should be around $799 because Apple tends to put on an $100 increase for each higher model. However, this model may not be for the consumer, but for government and retail.
Jeff Benjamin at iDownloadBlog extracted iOS6.1 and compared to to the older iOS6 firmware. He found an additional field for 128 alongside 16, 32 and 64. This could defenitly mean the 128GB iPad.
However, only time will tell, so we will see what Apple will do later this year. But would you buy an 128GB iPad?
