Office 365

Office 365 is the next big thing for business, and I can tell, this will be used a lot by small businesses!

Office 365 is a Microsoft tool for businesses. It will take Microsoft products to “the cloud.” According to Microsoft, over 1billion PCs in the world, and 40million customers are paying for cloud services. But they say, this is JUST the beginning. This will allow them to take your products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc to the cloud.

This service will be great for communication. You can have the same Outlook on the computer, as well as on your Windows Phone. Some features already installed (like PowerPoint online broadcast), will be able to do more, such as stream on phones, such as iPhone, Windows Phone, HTCs, etc.

Here are some features:

MySite will allow employees to have their own “site” where you can post your documents, and people can follow you. This is kind of like Facebook and Twitter in a way.

Exchange Online will be an online mail service will help organize everything from mail to calenders.

I think this is a response to iCloud in a way. iCloud from Apple will allow you to have documents, photos, and other features in the cloud, and push them to all your devices, such as iPod, iPhone, iPad, Mac.

I will post more information as I find out more. This will be interesting as this progresses.
